We are bringing in the new century with a car that is "half a century old".
Jerry's 1950 Buick Roadmaster is one of those cars that once you see it you will
recognize it anywhere. At least now you will since he has customized it. Do you
remember the'Surf Blue'Buick he brought to the cruises? It also served as the
family car, used it for everything even hauled things with it. A few years ago it
was on the cable TV show "Exciting World of Speed and Beauty" as the original
style 1950's Buick, contrasting original with customized. He's had the car for 14
years and a little over a year ago decided that it needed a change. He wanted to
change it to the customized style that was popular in the'50's. Now it is Black Satin
with Seaweed Flames'! Except to recover the top, he has done all the work on the
car. It's spotted wherever it goes--- followed by the Channel 3 news helicopter one
morning, in the "Moon Eyes" catalog, and hangs as a blown up poster in the house
of a guy Bonnie met while driving it one day, is even on the web. So you won't
have any trouble figuring out who Jerry and Bonnie are.

Jerry moved over from California 4 years ago and has 3 kids-- 14, 18, and 20.
He works as a mechanic at Berge Ford in Mesa and his one and only hobby is cars.
Bonnie has been here in Arizona for 20 years from California. She works at
'Industrial Chassis', one of the sites of a recent RWCA cruise, in the office-
bookkeeping dept. for the past 4 months. She also has three kids- 14, 20, 22 and
her hobby is helping with the cars, anxious to learn more about them.

They have three other cars to keep them busy in their hobby. A '46 Chevy
Turquoise with Flames it is in the process of being redone in the'old'50's
customized style', a 1929 Dodge hot rod style and newly acquired 1959 Chevy
wagon for Bonnie, to be done hot rod style.
