JOHN PETRENCS

In 1995, after many years of working with a tobacco company in Pennsylvania, he retired and winter tired, John moved to Phoenix. He and his buddy, a calico cat, enjoy the weather here and John enjoys working on his cars, But before making the move he helped a friend restore the 1930 Model A Ford you see in the picture. The car was bought in 1930 and had 13,000 miles put on it before the original owner went off to WWII. He never returned and his wife stored it in their barn. John's friend acquired it in 1982 and together they fixed it up. In 1996 John became the lucky owner. The color of the car is Porsche Guards red which brings to mind his previous hobby‑sports cars specifically Porsches.  Now he is restoring a 1927 Model T and his daily driver is a 1928 Model A kit car.

John also has owned his own business the past 20 years, in the antique line of French clocks. He buys and sells them now letting go of the repair and restoration end.

He has been a RWCA member since 1997 and especially likes the TOTZ for TOTZ event. John also was in the Air Force and would like to pass on to others who would like to make a visit to the Vietnam Traveling Wall Memorial that it will be at Mariposa Gardens in Mesa from November 11 to 14.
